The Subversionary: A Secret Alliance With Chaos was an installation consisting of charcoal and ink drawings, plaster and wire mesh sculptures, and a video / audio projection. The sculptures in the show were made on, what is said to be a holy mountain, in Emmitsburg, MD that the artists' mystic grandparents live. Matijevic's drawings resemble faces, without the detailed characteristics of an individual – emphasizing similarities rather than differences.
